evaplan is long committed to tackle global health challenges and to improve the preparedness and response of emerging diseases and pandemics. In the last decade evaplan has helped design pandemic preparedness programmes in various countries.

Globalisation processes are not only providing opportunities to the development of the world’s population wellbeing, but also increasing and intricating the complex dynamics of global health issues. Climate change and the increasing burden of non-communicable diseases in low and middle-income countries are only some of the new challenges in global health. The HIV-AIDS global epidemic, the SARS outbreak in the early 2000`s, the Ebola and Sika outbreaks, and now the Covid-19 pandemic are only examples of diseases that can only be tackled within a global perspective associated with local action.
